That's not how it should work-- it's how you want it to work.
There is a difference. The specification alone describes how CSS
should work, whether or not we like what it has to say. If this
thread continues any further, which I personally don't think it
should, let's please at least keep that distinction clear. Otherwise
you risk confusing people who are new to CSS about what's per the
specification and what isn't, which I would very much like to avoid.
