[css-d] Corners with borders revisited

Sent by Andy Baker on 6 August 2002 09:09

Very nice workarounds but can I feel like throwing down the gauntlet!

1. The advantage of a pure CSS solution is separating style from
content. 2. The round box thing doesn't meet the above criterion 3. So
therefore seeing as we have already failed to benefit from the main
reason to avoid tables why not make life simpler and use them for this?

I s'pose the point I am making is: "CSS for CSS's sake is no virtue"?

Agree/Disagree?

Obviously we can say it is a fun technical challenge. I just wonder if
anyone wants to defend this use of CSS ideologically ;-)
