Hello CSS-Discuss,
I'm currently having a bit of difficulty with a menu I'm trying to
build for my current project. You can see the stripped down version
here: http://www.guneva.net/testcase/index.html
The horizontal menu will be a drop-down, I just disabled that effect
so I can debug the issue at hand. It works as expected (as desired) in
Firefox. In IE, the active area of the links don't extend to the
right-side of <dd> ONLY if there text underneath it. For example,
Schools, Sewer, and Water work correctly in IE. Fire, Highway, and
Library do not. I assumed it was a z-index bug, but nothing I could do
would fix it.
And, while I have your attention:
The background for the Library link is transparent only in Firefox,
and only if I give it the correct url in the href attribute. Change
the URL (to say, the police's url), it works fine. Um, what? There's
nothing special about those elements, it's only when I give it that
specific URL that I get the error. I've never seen anything like it
before, and have no idea where to begin looking for a solution.
Thanks for your help,
Matt Petrovic
