Hello,
Historically, Ektron has been the defacto standard product - a few years
ago it was really the only proper product - but it requires client
software installation and does not support Macintosh and Linux/Unix etc.
(unless this has been added since my last look at their products).
Today, you have many other options such as our own HardCore Web Content
Editor (http://editor.hardcoreinternet.co.uk/), which does not require
client software installation; has cross-browser/cross-platform support;
and has been selected by a number of CMS service providers and software
vendors for integration with their products.
However, there are many other options. For a good overview of available
web content editors see:

Best regards,
Soren Vejrum

browser-based editor to use with it. RIght now people build theiir pages with an editor like
Dreamweaver & upload. We'd like ppl to be able to build simple pages right on-line as well as make
editing changed to their uploaded paged. Cost can be anywhere from free to $2000. Qualities we're
looking for (in order of importance)

if there's a good product out there that is widely used and respected & not backed by a big company,
that's ok too. We may start with something inexpensive & port to something more solid down the road.

references to Ektron's product. We've looked at both the regular editor and the editor that includes
XML capability.
