We've been testing out several open-source CMS systems, and have not had
luck in tracking one down that will do what we want. So, I'm hoping
someone here can offer a recommendation.
Here's what we're looking for
Required:
----------------------------
- Must run on Solaris
- Must support administrative user/group permissions to allow editing of
certain content sections (for example, assign a user to only edit the
"About us" section)
- Must have some method of integrating with external web apps (we have
custom calendar and document library apps that we would prefer not to
rewrite if possible)
- Must support some level of user authentication for access to certain
content
Preferred (but not required):
----------------------------
- PHP-based (we have a ton of PHP expertise here)
- Able to integrate with existing authentication systems (LDAP)
- Easy enough for non-techies to update content
- strong support of open standards in general (we would be reluctant to
buy into a closed system)
- Open-source
- Free
Any suggestions?
